Like most of my Christmas songs, this is a solemn song reflecting on the feelings I get around Christmas (as much as I can, being a Jew) of quietness, snow (hopefully) a fire, (if only!) family, and the smell of pine needles. I know Jesus is in there for a lot of folks but he never came to my house during the holidays so I must admit I have learned to do without. (Though I do hear he was quite the guy!)
